Crispy, sticky, sweet,irresistible – that is the one and only – jalebi . we think that india is the birth place of  jalebi . but it is wrong jalebi is the birth place of iran.   When indian people think of eating sweets. In some part of india, they are eaten as break fast it is very famous and popular sweet in south asia. the first thing that comes to their mind is jalebi they are crispy out side and juicy inside.Jalebi is the national sweet of india . in india, jalebi is mainly famous in Mathura (uttarPradesh). It also known as snacks which is deep frying maida flour in circular shape after then they soaked in sugar syrup.jalebi is inveted by harprasad badkul in 1889. In Jabalpur. Jalebi recipe can made one or two ways . approx 24 hours time taken to ready the jalebi’s maida by a little sour  them.  The word jalebi derived from zalabiya by Persia . Persian brought jalebi to india. Jualebi has mainly  orange colour but many people has their oppniun to chossing the jalebi’s colour. Soe ouccasions like Diwali,republic day,independence day are incomplete without it .

 

Mainly items required for making jalebi.

 

1.      Maida

2.      Besan

3.      Sugar

4.      Ghee

5.      Cooking oil

6.      Baking soda

7.      Yougart (dahee)

8.      Lemon

9.      Saffron (kesar) may be added or may not

10.  Cardamom (ilaichi)

 

 

How to make jalebi in easy way.

 Making batter

1.      Jalebi’s Batter is mainly ade up of maida  which make jalebi more crispy and tasty.

Mix maida well and add curd. You may skip the curd and ferment the batter for 12 to 24 hour until a slightly sour flavor develop.

2.      add ¼ cup water and as you need.

3.      Mix the batter and make them  thick smooth.

4.      Mix the batter properly and whisk for 4 to 5 min.

5.      Add lemon juice and mix as required you can skip lemon juice .

 Making sugar syrup to make jalebi.

1.      Add maximum sugar to a pot as possible.

2.      Add some water to pot.

3.      Boil the syrup until it reaches a 1 string consistency.

4.      After boil take sugar syrup in between your thumb and fore finger. After then move the finger apart, you must see a single string.

5.      Pour 1 tea spoon lemon juice. Add in saffron (which is optional) and cardamom mix and set this aside.
