Makar sankranti is the india’s  one of the popular festival and also called festival of kites. Now dats or at a present time this festival is generally held on 14th or 15th January . makar sankaranti is not only the festival of Indians , nepali also celebrates it very fanfare  . this festival is not only  popular for kites but it also popular for its different types of tasty sweets .

 

1.   Tilkut



Tilkut is indian sweet also known as tilkatri . tilkut is generally  popular in bihar , Jharkhand, west Bengal and Madhya pradesh. People make and eat tilkut specially  in makar sankaranti festival. Tilkut is very goog for health . it is prepared from white sesame and jaggery. We are purchasing it in the market but we can easily make in homes . as first buy the material such as -:

·         150g white til

·         150g sugar powder

·         1 bowl finely chopped dry fruits (almods, cashews).

After that following mehod -:

·         Dry and roast the sesame seeds lightly on the pan .

·         Then leave 75g of sesame seeds whole and grind the remaining 75g coarsely .

·         Now heat ghee in a pan in flame.

·         As soon as they are roasted a little , add sesame seeds and sugar powder and  mix them well .

·         Now  give the shape and your tilkut is ready .

       2.   Til ke laddu



The meaning of tii ka laddu means til +laddu. Til ke laddo is also a indian sweet which is generally made in made in makar sankaranti . it is a sweet balls made with sesame seeds jiggery and cardmon powder . til’s  laddo is generally very popular in maharastra, bihar , Jharkhand and uttar Pradesh. To follow some steps it is very easy to make til’s laddos. But as first  brought or take out its main ingredients

Ingredients

1.      Sesame  (100g)

2.       Jiggery  (100g)

3.       Cashews (1tbs)

4.      Ghee (1tbs)

How to make til ka laddu

  • ·         Take  a pan  and put ½ cup sesame seeds on the pan . and cook it in low flame .
  • ·         Stirring and roast the sesame seed in low flame.
  • ·         It takes about 2 to 3 minutes on low flame . don’t brown.
  • ·         Add 1/3cup  roasted peanuts.
  • ·         Add ½ cup dry coconuts on the pan.
  • ·         Then cook them all at low flame
  • ·         Now  other step make the jiggery syrup add jiggery and3 big spoon water on the othe pan
  • ·         Place the pan on low flame.
  • ·         Stirring the jiggery properly.
  • ·         Now your syrup is ready . then put all the ready material into the syrup then make the laddos of it.

After following these steps you can easily make the til’s  laddo.
